FlexCrete

 Pozzolan Technologies proprietary PTC1 mix can be incorporated into any ready-mix or cement mixture as a flexural strength enhancer. 

PTC1 can be post-added to the cement mixture as is, or the mix design can be reformulated by gradually stripping Portland T10 levels. PTC1 can replace standard OPC on a 1:1 ratio up to 35% total dry weight. Typical flexural strength results when incorporating PTC1 at a range of 10-35% are 12-14 MPa (7 days). Flexural strength of concrete is 10-15% that of compressive strength. The incorporation of FlexCrete (at a minimum level of 5% dry mix) enables this range to increase to 25-30%. 

Benefits of high flexural strength cement include: 

1) High resistance to deformation under load 

2) Many structural components are subject to bending or flexing, such as beams, slabs and pavement. It is important for the mixture to have a flexural strength to resist these tensile forces 

3) Ability of the structure to withstand larger weights and pressures without failure/cracking
